Workplace Accessibility
Accessibility Overview
Moore Than Arthritis supports employers, HR teams and occupational health professionals in building workplaces where people with arthritis and chronic conditions can thrive. From reasonable adjustments to inclusive culture, we help organisations move from compliance to genuine inclusion.
Why Workplace Accessibility Matters
Around 10 million people in the UK live with arthritis. Many are of working age. With the right support, adjustments and understanding, most can remain in work and contribute fully. Yet too many face unnecessary barriers — from unsuitable workstations to a lack of awareness among managers. We work with organisations to change that.
Reasonable Adjustments
Practical guidance on identifying and implementing reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act 2010 — from flexible working and ergonomic equipment to phased returns and adjusted duties.
Manager Awareness Training
Equipping line managers with the knowledge and confidence to have supportive conversations, recognise flare-ups, and create a psychologically safe environment for disclosure.
Policy & Documentation
Support in reviewing and updating absence, wellbeing and disability policies to reflect the lived experience of people with arthritis and musculoskeletal conditions.
Employee Wellbeing
Resources and toolkits for employees — helping them understand their rights, communicate their needs, and access the support available to them inside and outside the workplace.
Inclusive Employer Recognition
Organisations that demonstrate a genuine commitment to arthritis-inclusive employment can be recognised through our Community Heroes Inclusive Employer category.
